Animated VFX backgrounds for your link in bio

Most link in bio pages are a list of buttons on a flat colour. An XBio profile can sit on top of a live, GPU-rendered background: 16 effects including a deep-sea liquid, aurora, lava lamp, lightning storm, vaporwave, starfield, bokeh and a digital matrix rain.

They are not looping videos or GIFs. Each one is a fragment shader running in the visitor's browser, so it stays sharp at any screen size and can react to sound.

What you can do with them

  • Pick a background and tune its intensity, down to zero if you want the page calm.
  • Layer the effect over a background image: the VFX renders as an overlay, so the two blend.
  • Attach an audio track and the shader reacts to it in real time through the Web Audio API, so the background pulses with your music.
  • Add particle overlays, custom cursors, fonts and per-element animations on top.

What is free and what is not

4 of the 16 backgrounds are free for everyone: Deep Sea, Neon Pulse, Plasma Wave, Mesh Gradient. Every new account also starts with 300 credits, enough to unlock one premium background.

The rest can be bought one at a time in the effect shop, or all unlocked at once with Pro ($5/month). One effect, Grid, is also unlocked for free when your profile reaches level 10.

Performance on phones

Shaders are GPU work, so on mobile the intensity is reduced automatically. Visitors on a slow device still get the links first: the page content is ordinary server-rendered HTML, and the background loads separately behind it.

Questions

Are the backgrounds videos?
No. Each is a real-time GLSL fragment shader rendered on the visitor's GPU, which is why it can react to audio and stays crisp at any resolution.
Which VFX backgrounds are free?
Deep Sea, Neon Pulse, Plasma Wave, Mesh Gradient. The other 12 are premium: buy them individually with credits, or unlock them all with Pro.
Will it slow my page down?
The links and text load as normal HTML first. The effect loads behind them, and its intensity drops automatically on mobile. You can also set the intensity to zero.
