Free QR code generator for your link in bio
A QR code lets a poster, flyer, sticker or stage screen open your link in bio without anyone typing. Paste your link below, pick a size and download the image.
How to use it
- Paste the link you want to share: your XBio profile, your own domain, or any other URL.
- Choose a size. Larger files stay sharp when printed.
- Download the PNG and place it where people will see it.
Getting a code that actually scans
- Keep dark modules on a light background, and leave the white border around the code. Many scanners fail without that margin.
- Print it large enough that a phone reads it from normal viewing distance, and leave it unstretched.
- Always test the printed copy with a couple of different phones before you order a batch.
- Use the shortest link you have. A short address makes a simpler code, which scans faster and more reliably.
- Error correction is set to the highest level, so a code survives a small scuff or a logo placed over the middle.
Measuring how many people scan it
A QR code like this one is static: it simply contains your link, so there is no scan count to look at. To measure it, add a UTM tag to the link before you generate the code, for example your profile address followed by ?utm_source=poster. Visits through that code then appear under that source in your XBio analytics, separate from your other traffic.
Privacy
The code is generated in your browser. The link you type is not uploaded or stored, and the generated code never expires because it does not depend on our servers.
Questions
- Is the QR code generator free?
- Yes. It needs no account and has no limit on how many codes you make.
- Does the QR code expire?
- No. It encodes your link directly, so it works for as long as the link does.
- Does XBio have a QR code for my profile built in?
- Yes. Every profile can export a QR code of its address from the editor, on the free plan too.
